This notice explains how easycrochetnest.com (“Easy Crochet Nest”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you visit the website or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@easycrochetnest.com.

1. Information we receive

• Messages you send: your email address, name if supplied, message contents and any attachments you choose to send.
• Technical information: our hosting and security services may process IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser details and error or security logs to deliver and protect the website.
• Optional analytics: if you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 can receive information about pages viewed, visits, referral sources, approximate location and browser/device characteristics, together with a cookie-based identifier.

2. Why information is used

We use relevant information to operate and secure the website, answer enquiries, resolve problems, protect our rights and, with your analytics choice, understand how visitors use our content. We do not treat an enquiry as consent to email marketing.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, necessary operations and correspondence may rely on legitimate interests, steps requested by you or legal obligations, depending on the circumstances. Optional analytics relies on your consent where required. You can change your analytics choice using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

3. Cookies and your choices

Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used for WordPress login, security and site operation. Our analytics preference is stored in your browser for up to 180 days so that we can remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. This preference storage does not track your visits across other websites.

Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose to allow analytics. When allowed, it may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_<identifier> to distinguish visits. We configure our analytics cookies to expire after approximately 180 days, although browser settings can shorten their life. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from reading the website. You can also manage cookies through your browser.

Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection through our site and attempts to remove its Google Analytics cookies. It does not automatically erase information already collected by Google. Contact us if you want to make a data request.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage when you have allowed it. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or message contents to Analytics. Our site configuration disables Google Signals and advertising personalization signals. Google processes analytics information under its applicable terms and privacy notices.

5. Hosting, service providers and international processing

This website is hosted using Hostinger services and runs on WordPress. Hosting, security, email delivery and optional analytics providers may process information needed to provide their services. Information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in countries with different data protection rules. Where applicable, transfers are subject to the safeguards required by law and the provider’s arrangements.

6. Comments, embedded content and external links

Where comments are available, WordPress may process the information in the comment form, IP address and browser details to support moderation and spam detection. If an avatar service is enabled, it may receive information needed to display your avatar. Please do not include private information in public comments.

External links take you to websites with their own privacy practices. Embedded content, if added in future, may allow its provider to collect information as if you visited that provider directly. The current project concept images are hosted on this website.

7. Advertising, affiliate links and newsletters

Advertising and affiliate partnerships are planned for the future. They are not currently implemented as an advertising network or affiliate tracking integration on the pages we publish. The current site does not have a newsletter signup or checkout. Before adding features that change how visitor information is collected or shared, we will update this notice and provide any required choices.

8. How long information is kept

Enquiries and operational records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle the matter, maintain security or meet legal obligations. Analytics retention is controlled by the settings of our Google Analytics property; aggregated reports may remain available for longer. Your browser analytics preference expires after up to 180 days. You can ask us about the information relevant to your circumstances.

9. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of personal information, request a portable copy, withdraw consent or complain to a relevant data protection authority. To make a request, email hello@easycrochetnest.com. We may need to verify your identity and the scope of your request. Some information may need to be retained where legally required.

10. Children and security

The website is intended for a general audience and does not invite children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact us. We take reasonable measures to protect the website and correspondence, but no method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure.
